Com uma série de patrocinadores sendo que os maiores eram a Oi, empresa de telefonia, e Petrobras, mundialmente conhecida, o Evento I Love Jazz 2011 (http://ilovejazz.com.br/) reuniu músicos como Maria Noel Taranto, Judy Carmichael, Gabriela Pepino, Paulistana Jazz Band, Alex Zwingenberger , Buck Pizzarelli entre outros.
O Músico no Detalhe foi assistir ao vivo ao show do dia 14 de Agosto, em Brasília, no Parque da Cidade. Primeiro podemos notar a beleza do palco, ou seja, quando há patrocínio tudo é possível, a iluminação singela, enfim, tudo perfeito. Depois entrou o maestro Axel Zwingenberger que tocou vários booggie woogies de seu último disco “The Magic of Boogie Woogie”. Em parceria com ele a cantora Lila Ammons interpretou canções diversas. O show foi intimista, piano e voz, e o horário foi cumprido rigidamente.
Às 19 h foi a vez do Howard Alden Trio com Bucky Pizzarelli e Jack Wilkins. Nascido em 09 de janeiro de 1926, Bucky se limitou a tocar standards a maioria de Django Heinhardt mas, os executou com limpeza, magia e uma pulsação singular dos maduros guitarristas. Já Howard e Wilkins improvisaram com solos rápidos, harmônicos, tonais e atonais e abusaram da arte do improviso. O jazz improviso foi o ponto alto nesta apresentação.
Por fim entrou Jon Faddis Quartet fazendo um tributo a Roy Eldridge. De início a mestra de cerimônia pediu para que os frequentadores não tirassem fotos por força de contrato com o grupo. Depois o músico pediu que abaixassem as luzes e etc e tal. Após estas frescuras, o show começou com pirotecnicas harmônicas e solos, mantendo a chatice do jazz, ou seja, o tema é tocado, depois o solo, voltasse o tema e se encerra a música. Um show com falta de criatividade o que provocou a nossa saída.
O público dentro da concha se manteve em silêncio mas, fora dela fez de tudo, conversou, assistiu, curtiu, brincou, enfim, um perfeito show num parque com suas características boas e ruins.
